Beth Anne Fife, 51, of Dawkins Drive, East Earl, has been charged with two counts each of the following: vehicular homicide, involuntary manslaughter, and recklessly endangering another person, as well as related driving offenses on Wednesday, Oct. 16, court records show. The charges are in connection with the crash on Route 322/West 28th Divison Highway near the Lancaster/Lebanon counties line that killed Allen English, 84, of Lititz, and his daughter Grace English-Rohrer, 60, of Lancaster on Friday, Dec. 1, 2023, that Daily Voice previously reported on.

Fife cut off several cars while speeding west on Rt 322, witnesses told the police, according to an affidavit of probable cause. She then swerved her 2019 Infiniti to avoid a dead deer on the side of the road — that's when she crossed into the opposing lane of traffic — slamming head-on into the English-Rohrer's 2017 Ford at 11:45 a.m.

Data from Fife’s Infiniti showed she was driving 93 mph five seconds before the crash, according to the affidavit. The area has a marked speed limit of 55 mph, the police noted.

The Ford caught on fire during the crash, trapping the father and daughter inside, as explained in the affidavit.

Fife suffered injuries and was taken to an area hospital, according to the police. The extent of her injuries was not available. She had not been taken into custody at the time of publishing.

"Grace was a graduate of Warwick High School and Edinboro University," as stated in her obituary. She went on to work at QVC for 20 years, "the last 14 as [a] store manager and also worked at Jamesway, Roses, and Ames," as written in her obituary.

When she met her husband Marc E. Rohrer she knew “we’re simply meant to be;" they were married for 17 years.

She enjoyed genealogy, family vacations to National Parks and historical sites, as well as Native American Culture, and wolves, according to her obituary.

Allen was born in Erie, according to his obituary.

"He proudly served in the US Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller for four years in Germany, France and Louisiana. His military service was a testament to his dedication and love for his country," as written in his obituary

He went on to American Paper Products Mill, CND Power Com, and "as part of a road construction crew on the original 'Goat Path' in 1975, which brought his family to Lancaster County," as stated in his obituary.

For fun he hunted, cooked, and spent time with his family, according to his obituary.

His wife of 63 years, Barbara A. Bilger English, passed away on August 16, 2023.

Grace is survived by her husband, their twins; brother Thomas B. (Debra) English, and sister: Allyn C. (Eric) Taylor, both of Lititz, and extended family.

Allen is survived by Grace's survivors as well as his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his brother Thomas (Mary) English of Phoenix, AZ.
